At the Thriving in New England Consultations in 2018 thru 2020, a new standard was set for church leaders across New England. The expectation for pastors shifted more seriously toward the need to move beyond church walls in an effort to reach those in the community who need the good news of the Gospel. It was widely recognized at these events that programmatic ways of doing evangelism will never be enough - and the time is now to equip and empower congregations to share Jesus wherever they go. Roundtable groups are one way to stay in the conversation, maintain connection with other pastors around New England, and have a space to hear and process new ideas for leading thriving congregations.
What are Pastors Roundtables?
These groups provide the direct route for churches to increase their effectiveness in evangelism and discipleship. The pastor participates in a peer learning process that focuses on the outreach of the congregations represented.
Pastors Roundtables will be working through ten sessions designed to help pastors lead toward more effective outreach in the community where God has placed them. Every church is different and each pastor is different. No one program fits all.
In each roundtable group a facilitator will guide discussions, all while considering the biblical formation and the cultural situation of each congregation.
Where do these groups meet?
Roundtable groups can be found throughout New England. We are in the process of shifting locations and starting up new groups, so contact us to find a group near you!
